Electra Stylianopoulou Ph.D.

Electra Stylianopoulou is a postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics of Democritus University of Thrace (MBG-DUTH). She holds a BSc in Molecular Biology & Genetics from MBG-DUTH (2007) and a PhD in Molecular Developmental Biology from MBG-DUTH (2015). She has also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor (PD407/1980) at MBG-DUTH (2016, 2020) and is one of the scientists that established the NGS unit of MBG-DUTH during the implementation of OMIC-Engine. She has been involved in the development of the microbiome sequencing and data analysis and currently her work focuses on the role of probiotics in gut microbiome structure in heath and disease. She has 5 publications in peer review journals and 19 poster presentations. She is a member of the Hellenic Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, of the Hellenic Society for Biological Sciences and of the Hellenic Society for Neuroscience.
